Ever Want to Write a Book?

If you’re tired of not being taken seriously in the marketplace . . . if you’re sick of just being another face in the crowd . . . then there is a solution for you. Author your own book. Instantly you will set yourself apart from the masses and establish yourself as a “player” in your field. Opportunity knocks. Doors open.

But (I hear you saying) I don’t know enough to write a book. Writing a book is too hard. Who would want to read what I have to say?

My friend, you are in luck. I am in the midst of writing a series of articles answering each of those questions, and explaining exactly how you can – quickly and easily – add the word “author” to your list of accomplishments.

Be watching right here for the details.

Football and Writing

Well, if any of you saw the Green Bay – Arizona playoff game yesterday, you know what an amazing and exciting game it was. If only the “good guys” would have won! You see, I’m a good ol’ Wisconsin boy, and a lifelong Packer fan. My earliest memory is of my father throwing me in the air after Bart Starr scored with 16 seconds left to win the Ice Bowl.

But, if there is a bright side, the end of Packer season does free up a few hours each Sunday that I can now use to write more.

Is there some hobby or pastime that YOU engage in that may be taking a little too much time from your real job of making money?

I heard a quote recently – Each day you must continually ask the question, “What am I doing right now that will help me make money?” Sometimes I need to be reminded of that. How about you?

Cool new writing tip for you . . .

Hey Folks –

I was talking with a fellow author the other day, and she reminded me of a great writing tip that I wanted to share with you.

We were critiquing a young author’s work, and something just didn’t “sound” right. It wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t read like the work of a professional. Here was the problem: The author used the word “would” in the text. For example, one sentence was similar to this:

“Debbie would often eat as she read the paper.”

It’s not a terrible sentence, but the word “would” makes it weak. Watch what happens when we simply remove the word:

“Debbie often ate as she read the paper.”

Much stronger, yes?

Now, take a look at your own writing and search for the word “would.” If you see it in a sentence like the one above, try getting rid of it. Your writing will be stronger for it.

There are, of course, many other ways similar ways to make your writing stronger and more compelling. You may want to take a look at a very cool (and free) offer I have going right now at www.FictionSecrets.com.
