Christmas comes early this year
In just a few hours my family and I will be heading up to Wisconsin for an early Christmas celebration with my sister and parents. Coming just two days after my wonderful Birthday celebration, I’ve been thinking alot about family and friends and the importance of staying close.
My dad is now 73, and still going strong. My mom is just a few years behind, and still active and sharp. These are blessings that too few people can claim, and today I am very thankful for them.
So take a moment today and see what blessings you can find in your own life.

Two things about life . . .
My daughter came home from school yesterday and tearfully told me how a boy she knew was killed when his truck skidded on the ice and was hit in the intersection. Just 17 years old, and his whole life to look forward to – all gone in an instant. I tried to think of some comforting words to share, but truthfully, nothing much came to mind. Until I remembered a quote from Jim Rohn, who also recently passed away.
Jim reminded us that “Life is short, even at its longest. And it can be extra short.” and that “Life is fragile.”
As we all rush around trying to make a fortune and change the world, sometimes you just have to reflect on the fact that it can all be taken away in an instant. One car slips on the road and bumps a mailbox. Another car slips on the road and a 17-year-old boy dies.
I think I’m going to try to live life a little fuller today. What about you?

The Most Important Man I Never Met
I never met Jim Rohn personally. I never even saw him speak in person. Instead, my connection with him came only from the hours and hours that I spent in the car listening to his voice. The program “The Art of Exceptional Living” changed my life, and led me down a path of personal development that has not stopped to this day. Through Mr. Rohn’s words and advice, I’ve accomplished amazing things far outside of my old comfort zone.
With the possible exception of my father, no man on earth has influenced my thinking more than Jim Rohn. If you know his work, you know exactly what I mean. If you DON’T know his work, do yourself a favor and seek it out. As Mr. Rohn always said, “Finding . . . is reserved for the seekers.”

Writer's Block? Try these 3 strategies
There is nothing worse for a writer than staring at the giant white screen watching the little cursor blink off and on with nothing in mind to type. The common term for this is “writer’s block” and it can strike even the best writer in the world. As a professional writer, I’ve encountered this phenomenon a few times in my career, and it is a scary place to be.
So I wrote an article to help others overcome the same issue. I think you’ll love it -
